Order "Acquaintances with Myself"

Read what the press is saying and where you can hear us being broadcast on The Band page!
Featured Review:
"This is one of those cds that grows on you. Or, at least it did on
me...The singer has something of a classic rock sound, the rest of it
is hard to classify – and that's probably part of why it didn't
strike me the first time I listened to it...The songwriting is concise and imaginative, the
playing is top-notch, and the production is clean without being too
slick. The 5 songs range in style from nearly-funk to almost-reggae
to straight up rock...

This special guest appearance is made possible by him being in town to celebrate his bachelor party so come on out
and show him some love before he ties the knot. We don't know if we'll get this chance again, so expect it to be so
off the hook that Verizon will go out of business.

Friday with ex-Morphine sax player Dana Colley's new band.
Former Morphine saxophonist Dana Colley collaborates with Bourbon Princess’ front woman / bassist Monique Ortiz and Larry Dersch of Binary System on A.K.A.C.O.D’s debut record, Happiness. Creating a darkly psychedelic sound that is sensual, cinematic and otherworldly, Colley & Co pay homage to the “low rock” sound created by his former band while pushing musical boundaries and forging new ground.
Sad Marvin is a perfect fit for this set with their unique blend of genre-nonspecific stylings and the sultry, smoky vocals of Amanda ZW.
The night is rounded out with local support from The Big Disappointments and The Murder.

Fun on a Budget in Boston? Cheap Thrills Boston Makes it Easy.
Sad Marvin Partners with Local Site to Deliver Fresh and Cheap Content
http://www.sadmarvin.com
by Filthy Rich
We know how it is when you wake up Tuesday morning with a brutal hangover, classes having been canceled or skipped, wallet having been emptied by burritos and PBR, but still having the strange early-20's energy that makes you want to get out of the house and do something even though you should probably do homework. That's where Cheap Thrills - Boston comes in.
Rob, the founder of Cheap Thrills (Link here) and member of local rockers Muddy Rudder, prides himself on finding the coolest, most unique, and truly cheap (usually under $10) experiences that Boston has to offer in music, art, literature, film, and zombie's (whenever there's a zombie march, that is).
Sad Marvin is partnering with Cheap Thrills - Boston to provide its fans with content from Rob's list of great stuff to do about town. After all, what's a Sad Marvin monthly-gig sandwich without the cheap meat, cheese, and veggies? We'll take the generic yellow mustard, please.
Cheap Thrills - Boston (Link here) is published weekly and can be subscribed directly be emailing cheapthrillsboston@verizon.net
The Sad Marvin Newsletter is published whenever there's stuff to publish and can always be viewed and subscribed to at http://www.imakenews.com/sadmarvin (Link here) or through their website, www.sadmarvin.com
